Family Counseling

You may find a situation in which you need some help for your family in communicating with each other or help in settling an issue. Family counseling is an excellent way to accomplish this. Family counseling can include mom, dads, kids, teens. But it can also include extended family members such as grandparents, aunts and uncles. Family counseling can also be for adult siblings, or adult siblings and their parents. Sometimes it helps to have close family friends as a part of the counseling.

We have considerable experience providing counseling to families. We use a “Solution Focused” model of counseling which helps family members consider the strengths which each person brings to the family. We help you quickly determine solutions which are useful and practical for your family.

Couples Counseling

Navigating a relationship is always a challenge. Relationships which are young as well as relationships which have weathered decades can benefit from Couples Counseling. You may be facing a crisis in your relationship; it may be ending, or you may not be sure what is happening right now. You could benefit from the help of an experienced therapist to walk with you through the challenges you are facing. We have been helping couples in their relationships for thirty years.  Our practical and strength-based approach to Couples Counseling can be helpful to you.

Teen Counseling

Taking the journey through adolescence can be a lot of fun, and/or it can be difficult or even disastrous. Every situation is different and every teen has his/her own personality. Teens need a parent that is encouraging, listens well and provides a stable and secure home. You may have discovered that parenting skills you used just a few months ago have stopped working. Or you may be parenting as you were parented, and you want to discover a better way. Our many years of experience as a youth counselor, teen advocate and a parent to teenagers can prove to be a valuable resource for you or your teen in counseling.
